Anna Juravin (40) is a Polish immigrant, housewife, and mother of three children, who lives in Florida. Mrs. Juravin, who takes care of the house, kids, and cats, is also a homeschooling mother. She also used to help her husband to manage parts of his business.

Spending time in the kitchen and making healthy meals for my loved ones and myself is like a ritual to me. In my homeland in Poland, all Polish holidays and traditions are surrounded by food. Families gather around the table and eat all day. Most of our food is made from scratch, with love and care. There was no waste allowed: my grandmother, who survived World War II, would use all the leftovers to create a delicious meal.

After years of work, I have finally accomplished what I set out to do. I’m so excited to offer people like me a chance to lose weight and gain their lives back!

I enjoy cooking almost as much as I enjoy eating. Unfortunately, I taste my cooking along the way to make sure it tastes good. After I cook, I sit with my family to eat. This is why I gained forty pounds of weight over time.

I feel heavy. After years of feeling overweight and tired, I decided to stop it now. Instead of simply eating whatever I want whenever I want, I ask myself, “Is this food good for me?” “What’s in it?” “Do I really need it now?”

I am learning how to choose the right foods for me. I believe in a balanced diet as a healthy choice for your way of life. Fasting is a new way of life for me. When I fast, it is like a cleansing process for the whole body. I feel reborn after each fasting session.

Taking control over your weight means taking control over your life. You are the one who makes the decisions about what you put into your body. The more you research and learn, the better you feel.

My husband is an entrepreneur who had worked with morbidly obese people for 12 years, helping them achieve a healthy weight. He invented a routine that could help people avoid gastric bypass surgery. He was successful with 90,000 people who came to him seeking assistance. I watched him work, I knew his methods, and I knew I could do it better than he could. Once the FTC forced him to stop until he had received clinical approval, I saw my chance. Instead of making it a business, I decided to make it a charity in order to spread awareness for the message: that we can all overcome obesity without harmful drugs or invasive surgery.

I dreamed of a way to better measure body and mass to determine obesity. My research found that the BMI system currently used by doctors is outdated and does not take into account muscle mass or bone density.
